Our farm has a long history: the old walls have stood here in Algund since the 12th century. Today, just like generations before us, we cultivate apples and wine. Our apple trees and vineyards surround the farm.
We are passionate farmers – there’s always something to do, both indoors and outdoors, all year round. That’s exactly how we like it.

HISTORIC FARM IN ALGUND, SOUTH TYROL
Our farm was first officially mentioned in records in the year 1365. For over 40 years, the Götsch family leased the farm and ran the fruit and wine-growing business. Since 1993, Hias has been the owner of Hofer am Bach.
In 1998, we renovated the house with great patience, attention to detail, and natural materials – always with the goal of preserving its original character.
The old parlor still tells stories of days gone by, and the historic vaulted ceilings have also been preserved.

Now
Today, we cultivate our apple orchards and vineyards around Hofer am Bach. We grow apple varieties such as Gala, Golden and Stark Delicious, Fuji, Braeburn, Granny Smith, and Pink Lady – and grape varieties like Vernatsch, Lagrein, and Chardonnay.
We’re happy to give you a tour of our orchards and vineyards in Algund and show you our farming life and work in harmony with nature.
